Blue Coat
Blue Coat Schools
The Blue Coat Schools were founded by the Church of England and are
sited within 200m of the church. This strong historic link finds a
current expression in one assembly each Friday morning being in St
Matthew's Church. Also one service each year is "Blue Coat" Sunday when
the talents of the school are presented as part of the worship: this
usually takes place on the first Sunday in November.
