11 May - Spiritual Companions
Bishop Mark with Lichfield's new Spiritual Companions, including Marian Masters of St Matthew's
From the earliest times in the Christian Church men and women of
patience, understanding and compassion
have been called to a ministry
of Spiritual Companionship to encourage their sisters and brothers to
grow in faith.
On May 11th 2011, Bishop Mark of Stafford, commissioned 15
ordained and lay people
who had completed a course in the Art of
Spiritual Companionship;
a ministry of walking alongside individuals in
a confidential setting as they find their way along the Christian road.
