Hello! I’m Rev’d George Fisher and I’m Associate Minister at St. Matthew’s. I was appointed in October 2007 and am married to Joan, who is also ordained. We have one daughter, Ruth, who works full-time for Spring Harvest heading up their Youth Dept. We’re delighted that Ruth will be married to her fiancé Tim on 29th December 2007.
St. Matthew’s is my home church for support, fellowship and prayer but my main role is Director of Parish Mission for Lichfield Diocese, encouraging evangelism, mission and growth in 580 churches. That means that my role at St. Matthew’s is quite limited and I am only there one Sunday in six as I spend my time visiting and working with the churches of the Diocese.
It’s great to be part of a church which is a loving family and alive in God; It’s good to be involved in a Diocese which is “Going for Growth” and to be able to play my part in both.
