This could be a great tool for
communication within St Matthew's if people start using it regularly. In can
be for news, prayers, practical matters like asking for a lift to an
event/car sharing or asking for someone to do a reading because the person
due is unavailable. There are very many possibilities.
Click on the left button, labelled "Enter my Forum".A new page opens showing a list of the messages. Often messages form "threads". If a number of people
want to write about the Christmas services, for example, it's best to click on the first
message. A new window opens with the message and all the replies to it. If
you want to add your own thoughts, click "Reply". Again a new window opens.
I suggest you fill in your Name and your message - it
is not necessary to fill in any other details. |
If you want to start a new subject (or "thread"), enter
the Forum and click on the centre "Post" button. Again a new window opens. I
suggest you fill in your Name and your message - it is
not necessary to fill in any other details. The rest of the buttons
navigate through pages of messages after they have built up.
Posting Guidelines
1. Be careful about how much personal information
you include.
2. Don't put someone's name on the website without
checking with the individual before you do it.
3. There is a book which serves a similar purpose
in the prayer chapel for your use if you would prefer to use it.
